Summer Day Camp

Looking for a thrilling and enriching summer experience? Look no further than our exciting new Summer Day Camp! Participants will enjoy a wide range of activities including games, sports, crafts, and field trips. Best of all, breakfast, hot lunch, and snacks are provided daily to keep campers fueled up and ready to go. For those who want to take their adventure to the next level, we offer weekly field trips at an additional cost.

Summer Basketball Camp
Get ready for an exciting and skill-building summer with our 2023 Summer Basketball Camp! Available for boys and girls ages 6 to 12, of all skill levels, this camp is designed to cater to individual skill development, fundamental training, and building a healthy team attitude. Our camp is ideal for beginners who are looking to learn the fundamentals or seasoned players who are looking to take their game to the next level. With separate sessions for boys and girls in grades 1st-6th, we’ll focus on Shooting, Dribbling & Ball-Handling, Passing, Handles, and Listening Skills. Join us for a summer filled with fun and skill-building!

Futsal League

Introducing the Youth Futsal League, a recreational league specifically designed for youth from kindergarten to 4th grade. We are taking the world of futsal by storm with our fast-paced 5 vs 5 matches, providing a thrilling platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. Our league focuses exclusively on futsal, offering a unique and specialized experience that enhances agility, technique, and decision-making abilities on a smaller, more intense playing field. Junior Giants Baseball
Junior Giants, the flag ship program of the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, is a FREE non-competitive motivational baseball program for boys & girls ages 5-18 years old. The program provides baseball caps, t-shirts, gloves, equipment, and even BASEBALL TICKETS to a (select) SF Giants or San Jose Giants baseball game. With a focus on the four bases of character development: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership, & Teamwork, the Junior Giants is a popular program in our community. Full season participation & requirements necessary for tickets to a Giants game. Coaches needed!

Pitch, Hit, & Run

Pitch, Hit & Run is a free program that offers a safe and enjoyable setting for children to learn and play baseball or softball. It also gives them the chance to compete with their peers and earn a spot in the Team Championship or National Finals. This is an excellent opportunity for kids to stay active, have fun, and develop their sports skills. So why not sign your kids up and let them experience the joy of playing ball with their friends in a supportive environment?

Wrestling Summer Camp

Join our wrestling camp this summer to learn the fundamentals of wrestling with the support of experienced coaches in a fun and engaging environment. You’ll develop essential skills like takedowns and pins, which will give you the confidence to compete on the mat with pride.

Youth Football Camp

This summer, there will be a football camp for kids in grades 1st-6th. The camp will teach the basics of football, and the staff will help each child based on their skill level, whether they’re new to the sport or experienced. The camp will be a fun and supportive environment for everyone.

YOUTH SUMMER BOXING

This Summer, North County Rec Center is partnering with Boxing Strong to offer a week-long youth boxing program to the North County community. Boxing is an excellent way for kids to get back in shape while developing important life skills like discipline and hard work. Not only is youth boxing a great confidence builder, but it’s also loads of fun! Join us for a week full of fun and learning.

Ventana Wildlife Society

This summer, treat your kids to a one-of-a-kind, free program that will let them explore and appreciate the wonders of the natural world. North County Recreation and Park District has teamed up with Ventana Wildlife Society to offer your kids the chance to experience a variety of exciting activities such as storytelling, exploring tidepools and habitats, and creating projects that will keep them engaged and learning. With daily themes and lots of new things to learn, this program is sure to be a highlight of your kids’ summer.

The Wahine Project and North County Rec have teamed up to make their beach dreams come true with an awesome recreation and conservation program! Designed for kids aged 7-18, our program offers surfing and bodyboarding lessons in a fun and safe environment. No equipment or experience? No problem! We’ve got everything covered. Your kids will have a blast while learning cool new skills and helping protect the ocean. Join us for a beach adventure like no other!

YOUTH ARCHERY CAMP

Looking for a fun and engaging summer activity for your child? Consider enrolling them in archery! USA Archery’s Youth programs are specifically designed to help young archers achieve their goals. Film for Youth

North County Recreation and Park District is proud to team up with Directing Change California to offer: The Directing Change Program & Film Contest. This contest engages youth to learn about suicide prevention, mental health, and other critical health and social justice topics by creating short films and art projects that are used to support awareness, education, and advocacy efforts across the state, in their communities.

49ers Prep Flag Football

49ers Prep Flag Football is a brand new program intended to offer a first-class youth sports opportunity to boys and girls ages 7-10. This program is run by community-based organizations such as Police Activities Leagues (PALs), Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, City Parks and Recreation departments along with other local partners committed to harnessing football to educate and empowering Bay Area youth. 49ers Prep welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds. Our goal is to create a positive and safe environment where participants have fun while learning the game of flag football.

Track & Field
Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. Running and jumping helps develop muscles in legs which make it easier to have good balance. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events.

Skate Club-TBA
Skate Club is free and open to experienced and new skateboarders alike. Forgot your board? Want to learn to ride? No worries, we got your back. Skateboards are available to borrow with parental consent. The club also hosts skate competitions with winners receiving prizes from Santa Cruz clothing co. Safety gear required.
Community Days
During FALL months our staff offers fun and interactive arts & crafts, games, game shows, and events to kids and youth in the community FREE of charge. No registration is necessary, simply show up and get involved. All our community events will be held at North County Recreation and Park District.
