Our Board Of Directors:
- Grant Leonard – Board President – Transportation Planner, Transportation Agency for Monterey County
|I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the North County Recreation and Park District since 2015. I became interested in joining the Board after moving to Castroville in 2013 and seeing how much my friends and neighbors benefit from the District’s parks, programs, and services. In serving on the Board, I’m working to help the Recreation and Park District continue to be a valuable resource for the community of Castroville and North Monterey County.
In addition to serving on the Board, I’m a happy father and husband who spends his spare time fixing up our family home, gardening, and cheering for the future Stanley Cup Champions San Jose Sharks.
- Kristen Henderson – Board Vice-President – Owner, Coast Pest Management
I have been a board member since 2012. My involvement with the board came about due to my belief in making our communities better through direct involvement in local organizations.
- Paul Cortopassi – Board Member – Vice-President, Castroville Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
I am a life-long Castroville resident with deep roots in the community. I have been employed at Castroville Plumbing for 42 years—the family business. I became involved with the board two years ago as a way to assist an organization whose services are vital to the town of Castroville. On my free time I enjoy playing golf and hunting.
- Joseph Hernandez – Board Member – Examiner, California Department of Motor Vehicles
My initial involvement with the North County Recreation & Park District was as a result of my children participating in sports offered through the center. I continue to volunteer my time as a board member and coach. I have been a board member since 2010.
- Dennis Miskell – Board Member – Concrete Contractor, Miskell Concrete
I have been a long time resident of the District and currently live in the Oak Hills area of North County with my wife, Samantha. I joined the board in 2009 after having been a member of the local Pony Baseball board. Throughout the years I have volunteered at the district as a coach, volunteer, and chaperone. My spare time is spent jamming with my band and supporting Bay Area sports.
